Chloe McCarron was the third signing made by Blues new Head Coach Carla Ward. She's a midfield player and can play either as an attacking midfielder or holding midfielder. Chloe should prove to be a valuable addition to the Blues Women side this season.

NORTHERN IRELAND INTERNATIONAL CHLOE MCCARRON JOINED BLUES WOMEN ON A TWO-YEAR DEAL

The midfielder moved to the Second City from Northern Ireland Premiership champions Linfield.

McCarron had been with the Belfast-based club since 2017 and went on to become a firm favourite with the Linfield fans and was recognised for her contribution to the team by being awarded the Player of the Year award in 2018/19.

Chloe McCarron makes move from Linfield to Birmingham City Women

Northern Ireland international Chloe McCarron (22) has joined Birmingham City Women from NIFL Premiership champions Linfield.

McCarron, a holding or central midfielder, has been capped by her country seven times at senior level and has played in three editions of the Champions League.

Blues Women's Head Coach Carla Ward told bcfc.com : "We're delighted to get Chloe over the line. She's an exciting young talent who's ready to prove herself on the biggest stage.

LINFIELD LADIES

McCarron played for Linfield Ladies and the Northern Ireland women's national team. Linfield Ladies Football Club is a women's football team of Linfield F.C., based in Belfast, Northern Ireland.


The club has won the Women's Premiership four times from 2016 to 2019. They played in the UEFA Women's Champions League qualifying stage twice, but so far have lost all their games there.
