Chloe Arthur Professional Footballer

Chloe Susan Arthur (born 21 January 1995) is a Scottish footballer who plays as a midfielder for Birmingham City in the FA WSL 1 and the Scotland national team.

Arthur made the switch from Bristol City to Blues on 25 July 2018. She penned a two-year deal which will run until June 2020.

Following the 6-0 loss to England in Euro 2017, Chloe Arthur spoke of the collective determination to bounce back against Portugal in their second game of the tournament.

SUMMARY:

The player graduated from Celtic’s successful Youth Academy and enjoyed a breakthrough season at the age of just 17 where she made her First Team debut.

In December 2014 Arthur joined Hibernian where she played an important role in the side that reached the Scottish Cup final and finished second in the league.

An international call up beckoned and after representing Scotland at Under-17 and Under-19 level levels, she was finally handed her first senior international appearance in February 2015 in a 4-0 victory over Northern Ireland.

Her exploits north of the boarder didn’t go unnoticed by teams in the WSL and after spending just one year in Edinburgh she was on the move again.

Bristol City moved quickly to secure the services of the talented midfielder and it didn’t take long for Arthur to make her mark.

In February of 2016 she scored on her Bristol City debut as the Vixens swept QPR aside 7-1 in an FA Cup tie and she would finish the campaign with 20 appearances under her belt and two further strikes to her name.

International

Arthur has represented Scotland at under-17 and under-19 levels. On 8 February 2015, she made her senior debut for Scotland, coming on as a 63rd-minute substitute for Fiona Brown in a 4–0 win against Northern Ireland.
