Birmingham City Women

Becks Holloway was signed in the summer of 2019 by previous Birmingham City Women manager Marta Tejedor. Holloway initially played as a central defender which was impressive considering she’d not played in that position before and was previously a midfielder. More recently Holloway has played in the left back position where she is flourishing.

Rebecca Holloway is enjoying life as a pro footballer for Birmingham City

Birmingham City Women’s Rebecca Holloway has said she is “living out her dream” as a professional footballer.

After signing for the Blues last summer, following the completion of her degree in Sports & Exercise Sciences at Cumberland University, Nailsea’s Holloway says coming back to play in the Women’s Super League is something that she always wanted to do.

Rebecca Holloway is ‘loving’ life with WSL outfit Birmingham City

Rebecca Holloway says she is ‘loving’ her time with Birmingham City.

Having started to play football at the age of five for Nailsea Boys, Holloway went onto play for Clevedon Town Girls, Bristol City, Somerset Girls and Bristol Academy before heading to America in August 2015.

2019

Nashville Rhythm

In 2019, Holloway played for semi-professional WPSL team Nashville Rhythm. She made 11 appearances, scoring one goal as Nashville finished second in the Southeast Conference.

2015-2018

Cumberland Phoenix

In 2015, Holloway moved to the United States to study and play college soccer at Cumberland University. She played four seasons for NAIA team Cumberland Phoenix, notably earning Mid-South Conference First-Team selection in three straight years and was named back to back Mid-South Conference Player of the Year in 2017 and 2018. As a senior, Holloway led the league in goals with 22.
